Microblogging with Twitter and 12seconds: What's next?

With a minimum of 5,000 new accounts a day, Twitter right now is the thing in social media. Will Twitter continue to grow as it is now?

What's the next step for Twitter? How will we disseminate information? 

Is the short format of 140 characters and 12 Seconds becoming ideal for folks who are short on time? 

What is the next step for the social media world?

AllTop [Link: http://alltop.com/] will become more important as they help people in disseminating information. 

Maybe services or tools like Filttr [Link: https://filttr.com/], 

Yoono [Link: http://yoono.com], 

TweetDeck [Link: http://www.tweetdeck.com/beta/], and other Twitter related services/tools will gain more popularity in 2009. What's your say?
